The Worship Collective is a place where students are equipped, encouraged, and empowered to lead worship with excellence and authenticity. Through hands-on training in music, team dynamics, and spiritual leadership, I help young musicians grow not only in skill, but in heart—learning what it truly means to lead people into meaningful encounters with God. With decades of experience in worship ministry, education, and production, my passion is to raise up the next generation of worship leaders who are confident, prepared, and rooted in Christ-centered leadership.

Whether you're just getting started or looking to grow as a worship musician, I offer personalized keyboard instruction designed specifically for worship settings. Students learn practical skills such as chord progressions, playing by ear, creating supportive worship textures, and developing confidence to lead from the keyboard.

Growth happens best in a personal and encouraging environment. Through one-on-one lessons or small group training, students receive individualized attention, hands-on coaching, and practical feedback. This setting allows musicians to develop both their musical abilities and leadership skills while building confidence alongside others who share their passion for worship.

For students interested in drums, I provide basic instruction focused on playing in a worship band setting. Students learn foundational rhythms, timing, dynamics, and how to support congregational worship with excellence and sensitivity. This training helps new drummers build a strong foundation while preparing them to serve on a worship team.

One of the most powerful parts of worship training is stepping out of theory and into real-world experience. In this program, students are given the opportunity to move beyond the classroom and into live worship environments where growth happens in real time. Instead of only talking about leading worship, students actually learn by doing it in front of real people. This includes learning how to respond to a live band, adapt to spontaneous moments, and stay focused under the pressure of a real service. Each experience is designed to build confidence, not just competence, as students learn to trust their preparation in an authentic setting. Mistakes become valuable teaching moments, and wins become lasting confidence builders. The goal is to develop worship leaders who are not only trained but truly ready for real ministry. By stepping onto a real stage, students discover what it means to lead with both skill and heart.

Bob has led worship professionally for over 40 years. From Los Angeles to Washington, D.C., he has had the opportunity to lead worship for thousands of people. He served as a musician at Hume Lake Meadow Ranch from 1992 to 1996 and also led worship at Hume Lake Ponderosa during the winter of 1996. In addition, Bob has participated in numerous Hume Lake off-site camps, as well as other camps including Forest Home, Hartland, Mount Hermon, Sugar Pine, and many others.
Bob has also led youth worship teams at churches throughout California. He began at Calvary Church of Santa Ana in 1990 as an intern, training high school students to play in their youth group and eventually in a newly formed Sunday night worship service led by students. Other churches that have benefited from Bob’s ministry include Shadow Mountain Community Church in San Diego, Laurelglen Bible Church and Heritage Bible Church in the Bakersfield area, and Big Valley Grace in Modesto.
Throughout his career, Bob has developed entire worship teams, mentored individual worship leaders, and consulted with churches on installing sound and lighting systems. During his time at Hume Lake, he led worship seminars for emerging leaders, providing them with opportunities to grow and gain experience. Bob has also worked with Youth for Christ, helping develop music teams and contributing to their DC/LA program by working and performing with teams in both Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.
This extensive experience has equipped Bob to effectively train young musicians and provide them with the skills and opportunities needed to serve in church worship settings. Over the years, he has worked with hundreds of young musicians, many of whom have gone on to serve as worship leaders in their schools and churches.
